Actions speak louder than words, and Brian believes his actions reflect his dedication to his clients, public service, and doing what’s right. He leaves it to others to judge his record.
Brian began his public service in the Florida Senate, working for former Senate President James A. Scott. There, he helped draft and pass bipartisan legislation securing civil justice rights for Florida’s citizens.
After the September 11th attacks, Brian joined America’s front-line defense. He trained as a Federal Air Marshal and Marine Enforcement Agent, protecting the nation’s skies and ports. Later, as a CLI for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Chief Counsel where he helped keep our communities safe.
In 2007, Brian joined the FEMA Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT), demonstrating his commitment to community preparedness and public safety. In 2008, Brian entered private practice, focusing on representing individuals harmed by negligence or wrongdoing. He is now the Managing Partner and Founder of Mager Paruas, PLLC, working alongside longtime friend Scott Mager to help the injured. In 2023, Brian became a member of the Board of Trustees at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory, a local Hollywood high school.
A native of South Florida, Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University and a law degree from Western Michigan University. In law school, he was elected Senator to the Student Bar Association, a testament to his leadership and commitment to service.
